Dear families:

Below you will find the December newsletter:

Studio News You Should Know

The studio will be CLOSED from Sunday, December 23rd through Wednesday, January 2nd. We will reopen on Thursday, January 3rd.

Encore is participating in the Toys for Tots program again this year! Please consider donating one (or a few) brand new toys to help make a child’s holiday happier! We will accept donations up through December 14th.

On February 2nd, Encore Dance Center, in collaboration with Millersville University and Excentia/S. June Smith, will be presenting our fundraiser & benefit performance titled Be the Change! We have already started planning the show and are so excited to be raising money for such a wonderful cause once again! We have several upcoming fundraisers for this performance! Please check your email for an email containing all of that information.

As each month passes by, attendance becomes more and more crucial to your dancer’s progress. Please do your best to attend your classes regularly, especially because the teachers will start to work on their recital routines in these upcoming months! If you do need to miss a class, please call us at the studio to make us aware, we always appreciate it!

Encore Popsockets are for sale at the front desk for $10.00! These would make a great stocking stuffer for your dancer. All proceeds will go to Be the Change!

Reminders!

Costume deposits must be put down by December 17th! If you do not put down your deposit(s), then your dancers’ costume(s) will not be ordered!

Keep an eye out for our studio elf, EchappeĢ (pronounced ay-shuh-pay… it’s a french ballet term meaning “to escape”)! He’s awfully sneaky and tends to get into mischief!

News & Updates

On December 1st and 2nd, our Performance Company performed at the Harrisburg Christmas Craft Show at the Harrisburg Farm Show Complex. This is always one of our favorite performances of the season and we loved seeing how many of you came out to support us!

On November 10th, our Performance Company performed for the residents at the Pleasant View Retirement Community. The audience loved the energy our dancers brought!

EPC will be performing in the WISH show on December 9th and 10th at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre. Come out to enjoy a delicious dinner with a fantastic show! WISH raises money for Mychal’s Message and is choreographed/performed by local children, teens, and young adults in the arts community. Contact Dutch Apple for ticket information.
