About Alvina Kline
Birthday:
May 29th
Three Phrases that Describe my Dance Background:
- I began dancing at the age of 4 at Francis Cole’s School of Dance in Westwood, New Jersey. I fell in love with dance the minute I started taking lessons.
- I attended Kutztown University in 1981 and was a part of their dance troupe. I received my teaching certifications in New York City through Dance Educators of America. I became an assistant instructor at the age of 13 and began teaching at 19…. Not to give away my age (because I’m remaining 29 forever …lol) been teaching for close to 40 years!
- When I established Encore in 1985, my goal was to create a studio that focused on technique and performance in an environment that’s loving, safe, supportive, fun and nuturing for all students.
My Role at Encore Dance Center:
Owner, Artistic Director, Instructor and Therapist ☺
Dance Classes I Teach:
Fun Fact:
I danced with the Mandrell Sisters in the Hershey Arena and I was a member of Lancaster’s only Dance Teacher Company “Street Feet” where I rocked the 80’s perm and lycra unitard…lol!
