Becky Turnbull

Instructor

Rebecca Turnbull attended college at University of Maryland and Utica College of Syracuse University. She grew up dancing and doing gymnastics and dreaming of one day being a dance teacher. I started teaching at Encore Dance Center in 2016 and my family and I absolutely love this dance family.

Acro targets the strength and flexibility to properly perform acrobatic skills. Core, upper body and leg strength will be developed, as well as muscular endurance to execute acro tricks. Acro encourages self-confidence and self discipline while learning a variety of flexibility, tumbling and balancing skills on a mat, no equipment is used.

What People are Saying

Encore has been our daughter’s dance studio for the past 5 years. With the help of the caring staff at Encore we have watched her dance skills and confidence grow. The staff meets each child where they are and helps the dancers to better themselves both on and off the stage. The welcoming environment of Encore encourages relationships between the younger and older dancers, providing our daughter and many other young dancers with exceptional role models. Miss Alvina has worked hard to build this amazing studio and we consider ourselves lucky to have found such a great dance home for our daughter.

My daughters Mia and Ellie are beginning their fourteenth and tenth years dancing at Encore Dance Center. Over the years, the excellent professional and caring teachers at Encore have provided them with skills and instruction to become beautiful dancers, but they have learned much more. The girls are patient, determined, helpful, respectful and confident, and those values are reinforced every day at Encore. They also have made memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Encore has been an important part of their lives and our family
